To receive a timeslot for
your series, please follow these instructions:
1) Familiarize yourself with SCAT’s Programming
Policies & Procedures, as
well as tips on how to better promote your series.
2) Print and completely fill out the Series Request Form with all signatures and questions answered. (Form is available via Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free application.)
3) If your series is from
another community, have the Somerville resident who is the
sponsor of the series drop off the completed packet in order to
show proof of residency to a SCAT staff member.
What
you should do to promote your series . . .
• Submit a short promotional video for the SCAT Loop Tape.
• Send press releases to local media.
• Create a web site which you can link to SCAT’s web
site.
• Bicycle your series to other community access centers.
What SCAT
does to promote your series . . .
• SCAT cablecasts the program schedule on the Community
Bulletin Board which runs in between scheduled programs.
• SCAT Facts - the SCAT quarterly newsletter
includes a series schedule and profiles of SCAT producers.
• The programming schedule is printed weekly in The
Somerville Journal and posted on the
SCAT web site.
• SCAT’s web site is updated quarterly with the series programming schedule and profiles of
SCAT producers. It can also link to your own personal web site or
e-mail address.
SCAT's Programming Coordinator will confirm your series information and the day and time for your series to cablecast.
