Community Media Coordinator: 40 hours/week,
Americorps*VISTA
Develop and implement an outreach plan for increasing involvement of non-profit
organizations at SCAT. Assist non-profit organizations with their program production
efforts. Assist with video production classes for adults and youth.
OUTREACH
• Act as spokesperson for SCAT with community groups.
• Develop and implement an outreach plan to inform the non-profit community
of the promotional opportunities available at SCAT.
• Create flyers and other print promotions, produce video promotions for
SCAT.
• Work with the SCAT staff to maintain the SCAT website.
• Represent SCAT at community meetings.
• Work with staff to develop an outreach plan for youth media programs.
• Use website as an outreach tool
TRAINING
• Train non-profit organizations in television production.
• Work with SCAT staff on youth media classes, including curriculum development
and teaching digital field production, studio production, multimedia applications.
• Work with SCAT interns on skill development
PRODUCTION
• As directed, videotape community events and produce SCAT community service
programs for cablecast on Channel 3.
• Work with non-profit organizations to produce programs that further
their missions.
