Put the power of television in the hands of educators and we can change the world—for the better. That is why a group in Somerville, Massachusetts began the Media Action Project for the Prevention and Education of Domestic Violence (MAPPED). Through a collaboration between Somerville Community Access Television (SCAT) and the local domestic violence organization RESPOND, we created three short videos — It’s Your Safety: Plan for It, When Dating is Dangerous, and Immigrants Facing Domestic Violence. We hope this web site will give you the tools to educate your community about domestic violence by using public access television. |
