Garden club talks of containers, pots
Unlike most applied-arts objects such as wallpaper, chairs, china and fabrics, until recently no index of flowerpot designs existed. While curating the traveling exhibition, “A Place to Take Root: The History of Flowerpots and Garden Containers in North America,” garden historian Susan Tamulevich researched America’s unique flowerpot tradition.
